Yes. You may accompany your adult into the voting booth. Can I bring my completed sample ballot to the polls? Yes. Then just copy over your information. What do I say if a poll worker asks me about my/my child's disability? This is discrimination and needs to be reported immediately. Call Disability Rights Maryland. Does guardianship impact my young adult's voting rights? No. Everyone is allowed to vote. If I have to vote (as a parent/caregiver) and my adult child is with me, what do I do? You can bring them into the poll with you. Can I do early voting? Yes. Who can I ask for help? You may ask an election judge to help you, or bring anyone else to help you. Just not your employer or union rep. Do I need to bring my ID? Yes, It is always smart to bring your ID with you. Recommended if you are a first time voter and a bank statement, check stub, but not required. |
