Our WORKS staff is prepared to build work skills in all our WORKS classes, related to, but not limited to:
CLEANING
1) Dusting using a swiffer mop
2) Picking up items on the floor (loose price tags, plastic wrap, fallen clothes etc.)
HANGING/FOLDING/STRAIGHTENING ITEMS
1) Hanging shirts up properly
2) Hanging pants up on pants hangers with clips
3) Hanging items on the rack in the correct size section
4) Folding pants and shirts
5) Hanging empty hangers by size (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL)
6) Straightening folded shirts and pants so they’re in a neat pile
STORE KNOWLEDGE
1) Locating different sections of the store
2) Putting items in the correct location in the store
3) Identifying orange clearance tags and hanging the item in clearance
FINE MOTOR SKILLS
1) Buttoning up dress shirts
2) Zipping up hoodies and jackets
3) Using the price checking machine for scanning the bar code
WORK BEHAVIORS
1) Staying in your work area
2) Using appropriate voice level for indoors
3) Exhibiting appropriate work behaviors (no dancing or singing)
4) Not using your cell phone while you’re working

All skill levels accepted, no personal hygiene care provided. Minimal behaviors will require caregivers/staff. 

We are thrilled with the popularity of our WORKS programs.
In order to provide participants with individualized hands-on support from the UCR team and instructors space is limited. 
Due to the high demand for the WORKS programs, participants may only attend one WORKS program at a time.
