READ PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY Session begins April 21
Cost: Retail A (8 Classes) $360 Cost: Retail B (7 Classes) $315 Alternating Thursdays! 9:30 - 11:15 am Visit calendar here Choose your skill level! This program is designed to teach young adults how to perform a variety of jobs in a retail establishment. At the end of this intensive session program, attendees will be observed on skills for mastery and awarded a certificate of completion. This inclusive program takes place at Dawson's Market in Rockville and is lead by the staff of the store as well as experienced UCR special educators. Retail A: Entry Level program providing an introduction to skills needed to work in a retail establishment. No experience is necessary for this program but students must be open to coaching and guided instruction with modeling. Work on behavior/expectations in public settings. Retail B: Program for those with minimal experience providing more independence and practice on skills already introduced. Ability to follow two step verbal directions, work independently for 5-10 minutes, interact with occasional customers and find the manager if unable to help. |
