UCR Respite Policy Information (when attending in person)Enrichment Classes are designed for adults with varying levels of special needs looking to build independence or enter the workforce. Our programs focus on improving vocational skills, life skills, task completion with an emphasis on agriculture and healthy, independent living.
UCR reserves the right to determine any individual's program participation in UCR programs. Please carefully consider which program is the best fit for you! Behavior expectations In the event of a violent or unsafe behavior episode, UCR will have a family conference either in person or over the phone to determine the ability of the student to return to class and what accommodations will need to be in place to ensure safety and success. If defiant or other unsafe/inappropriate behaviors continue, a participant may be dismissed from a program. Supervision UCR provides supervision, according to the level appropriate to each program, ONLY during the stated program times. We cannot be responsible for members' arrival and departure. Please be prompt to arrive and leave. Medications UCR will not administer over the counter or prescription medication during respite hours. An emergency first aid kit will be available. Registration ALL program participants MUST complete the registration form prior to attending ANY ongoing program. UCR must have COMPLETE emergency contact information for each participant. Payment Registration payments for Weekend Enrichment / Respite Programs are not allowed "at the door" unless previously arranged with the Director. Program registration requires payment either via check or online on the following screen after submitting this form. You may bring a check to first class if necessary. All courses should be paid in advance of the first session. Drop Off Policy Please accompany your member into the program site and make sure there is staff on site. Please be on time so that programs may start promptly. UCR "Prorating Fees" Policy There is no proration of fees for sessions you select to miss or miss due to occasional illness. In the event of prolonged absences or joining the class session late, UCR will consider prorating on a case by case basis. UCR Inclement Weather/Program Cancellation Policy If Montgomery County Public Schools are closed for the day or evening, there will be no UCR programs either. If a session is cancelled due to inclement weather or instructor/therapist illness, it is considered an "act of nature" and there will be no fee refunds. Symptoms of COVID-19
The vast majority of people recover from this infection. Most people will have mild or moderate symptoms. Older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions have a greater risk for more serious illness. Waiver & liability By registering for these UCR programs, I am admitting I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected to indoor/outdoor physical activity and manual labor. I am also aware that some of the programs will include animal therapy/interactions and travel in the community. I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Upcounty Community Resources, Inc, OASIS Farm, Madison Fields, Madison House Autism Foundation, their officers, employees, volunteers or assistants from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any injury that may be sustained by me or my charge while enrolled in UCR programming. |
