UCR is very proud to report that nearly one third of our staff are members of our gifted community, and many other community members hold lead volunteer positions.
Active self-advocate, Meghan, is a founding board member, large social activity coordinator as well as sign language interpreter for UCR activities.
Javi, who comes to us via SEEC supported employment, manages one of our fitness programs.
Kaly, a self-advocate and talented graphic artist, designs our graphics for printing and branding.
We also employ our rock band, Neuro-Diversity, for paid gigs twice a year. There are 7 professional musicians with disabilities in this band.
We utilize three other community members to volunteer at our small social and fitness programs to be behavior models and mentors!
Many others volunteer to assist with sign in, food distribution as well as behavior models at our large social events as well.
