Did you know that there are almost one thousand, religious, federal, national, and just plain fun holidays in the month of December? Our reasons for love and joy tend to overflow this time of year. Yet, there has never been a musical celebration to talk about the common threads in them all; the gathering of family and friends, the presents, the movies, the food, the prayers, the singing and dancing, and the memories yearly made. What song makes you think of Grandma’s latkes or your mom’s pumpkin pie? What holiday movie makes you think of a lost relative and smile? Emotions and gratitudes will overflow this holiday season at Olney Theatre Center as we invite you to join us at the world premiere event, The Most Wonderful Time of The Year. Featuring Olney Theatre superstars Patricia Hurley (Elf, Mary Poppins) Kaiyla Gross (Miss You Like Hell), Nick Lehan (Pippin), Jay Frisby (The Music Man), and a five-piece band, this show will have something for everyone. From skits to audience sing-alongs, dancing, and even some disco, there is sure to be an abundance of the holiday spirit in the house every night. So bring your joy, your sorrows, your need for connection, and your prayers for the world as we journey the month of December and celebrate The Most Wonderful Time of The Year. |
